An elegant statue of ā€˜Diana Bathing’. Attributed to manufacturers Austin and Seeley c.1840. Austin partnered with John Seeley around 1840. Seeley trained at the Royal Academy Schools and developed an artificial stone called ā€˜artificial limestone’. Ā Works by the duo can be identified by their quality, which was recognised by Queen Victoria, who was one of their patrons.
